Looking for a new TV? Can't really beat this one

Perfect timing from guys at Panasonic, as usual… I was wondering what to get that's good enough to replace my good, no, great actually PZ70 plasma and the answer is right here.
As they say over at TR: "it is so good it's scary". No wonder it's got the Editor's choice then..

I was in a bit of a dilemma there as I wanted to go with their amazing VT series, but this little gem really has everything I need from my TV-set right now.

So now it's just a matter of getting over to guys at HiFiklubben and try one out in their nice test environment… Oh, yeah, and put up with some cash too ;)

Panasonic Viera TH-42PZ70 plasma TV

Ahh… finally I’ve decided which TV to buy. It took me a while, and after narrowing the competition down to just 3 models things got really complicated. The lucky contenders were Panasonic TH-42PZ70 (plasma), Toshiba Regza 42Z3030D (LCD) and a really nice Philips 47PFL9632D (LCD).

And without further ado, the winner is:

Panasonic Viera TH-42PZ70 plasma TV - all mine

So how did I come up with that one?

Well, first of all I was pretty much clueless about technology, plasma vs. LCD, screen sizes, input connectors and all that techy stuff.
I wasn’t even sure that I will buy a new TV as I was perfectly happy with my old fat tv,a nice 29″ SONY. But being a tech freak I wanted to get into all this so I can make a better decision when I decide to buy one.

So I’ve starting reading all those reviews, checking prices and scanning through some forums. The only thing I knew to begin with is that it has to be Full HD display, probably an LCD (don’t ask me why…) and nothing less than 37″.
